Live Translator Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 15, 2026

Live Translator (the "App") is provided by MIRAINAMI GK ("we", "us"). In short: we do not collect any of your personal data.

1. Your voice, text and images stay on your device

• Speech recognition, translation, read-aloud and camera text recognition all run on your device. Your voice, images and text are never uploaded to our servers or anyone else's.
• The App has no accounts, and we operate no servers for it.

2. What is stored on your device

• Session records (audio, text and camera translations) are stored only on your device and can be deleted anytime in History. You can also turn off Settings › Save session records, after which each session is deleted when it ends. Deleting the App deletes all records.
• Settings (such as languages and noise-reduction level) are stored on your device.
• Subscription status: so the App can confirm your subscription after a reinstall or while offline, a small record (active or not, expiry date) is kept in the device Keychain. It contains no personal information, is not synced to other devices, and remains on the device after the App is deleted.
• If iCloud Backup is on, your device backup may include this data; Apple handles it under Apple's privacy policy.

3. Subscriptions and purchases

Subscriptions are bought through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your name, Apple ID or payment details. The App only reads the purchase receipt Apple provides on the device to check whether your subscription is active. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles purchase information.

4. When the App goes online

The App connects to the internet only in these cases, and only to Apple's servers:

• downloading offline language packs (the model files for recognition and read-aloud);
• downloading system translation languages (managed by iOS);
• purchasing or restoring a subscription through the App Store.

None of these downloads contains any of your content. Apart from these, your browser or mail app goes online only when you open a web link (such as this policy) or email us. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking services.

5. Permissions

• Microphone: used only when you start speaking or start a session, for speech recognition.
• Camera: used only on the camera translation page, to recognize text in view.
• Speech Recognition: some devices cannot run the App's built-in offline engine; on those, the App uses the speech recognition built into iOS, restricted to on-device recognition, so audio is never sent to Apple. Only those devices ask for this permission.

You can turn these permissions off anytime in iPhone Settings.

6. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not collect personal data from anyone.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date; material changes will be announced in the App. If this document is provided in more than one language and the versions differ, the Japanese version prevails.
